Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

A critical component of Cargill Currents is water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). WASH interventions are geared at empowering communities to adopt healthier behaviors and sustain WASH initiatives long-term.

We accomplish this through targeted developments and trainings, such as the construction of water systems and sanitation facilities, as well as training in improved hygiene across Brazil and West Africa. These interventions have not only improved the health and well-being of community members but have also empowered them to take ownership of their WASH services, ensuring long-term sustainability.

Cargill Currents projects have increased access to clean water and sanitation and promoted improved hygiene behaviors, contributing to the overall health and well-being of over 150,000 people.
