About

Launched in 2021, Cargill Currents is a partnership between Global Water Challenge (GWC) and Cargill that advances water security in high need communities and basins around the world.

To date, Cargill Currents has
positively impacted over 150,000 people with improved water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) access in 87 communities while advancing water security in critical basins.

Cargill Currents builds community resilience to climate change, promotes economic development, and delivers various social, economic and environmental co-benefits, including improved farmer livelihoods, community health, and women’s  empowerment.

This work supports Cargill’s ambition of  promoting water-positive impact across its operations, supply chains, and communities by 2030.
